Den här boken var så spännande och oerhört snabbläst! Detta då boken har sån himla bra och beskrivande världsuppbyggnad och magisystem. Jag slukade hela den här boken på 720 sidor på bara två dagar! Jag tyckte att en sak som hände i den här boken var lätt att förutse, men Gwynne gjorde det ändå på ett sätt som var så bra att jag inte hade något emot att jag såg det komma. Den här boken liksom dess föregångare fick mig att gråta! Jag kunde verkligen inte tro att serien var slut! Den här boken har fortsatt många perspektiv, men den är allihopa så bra och tillför mycket till handlingen på sitt egna sätt.

Det här är helt klart en av mina absoluta favoritserier! Detta trots att den innehåller så mycket ond bråd död och man vet aldrig om ens favoritkaraktärer kommer att klara sig eller inte. Detta då John Gwynne är en av fåtalet författare som faktiskt inte drar sig från att ta livet av varenda karaktär om han så känner för det. Man får ta del av så många olika karaktärers perspektiv och det intressanta är att allihopa är lika bra! Det jag gillar allra mest med den här serien är att några av de perspektiv vi läser i från är karaktärer som går att betrakta som "onda" eller moraliskt gråa karaktärer. Alla karaktärer är dessutom så tredimensionella och de är allihopa viktiga och unika för handlingen. Just ruin var så himla snabbläst även fastän den är så tjock och jag blev helt beroende av att läsa den, ville inte alls att lägga ifrån mig den. Den här boken fick mig att känna så otroligt många olika känslor på samma gång! Och jag som inte gråter ofta till böcker fann mig själv storgråtandes klockan 01 på natten när jag precis läst ut den! Så fort känslostormarna hade lugnat ner sig så kastade jag mig direkt in i bok fyra!

Det här var en jättesöt och snabbläst manga. Illustrationerna var hur fina som helst och i slutändan så fick berättelsen mig att bli alldeles tårögd. Som kattägare kände jag definitivt igen mig i vissa av sakerna som hände/som mannen kände. Det här är en av de fåtal manga som jag faktiskt kan se mig själv fortsätta med.

En intressant och spännande berättelse om orättvisa och en familjs försök till överlevnad. Huvudkaraktären frustrerade mig stundtals då hon inte alls hade något konsekvenstänk. Men samtidigt så var hon bara ett barn. Jag lyssnade på den här boken som ljudbok, vilket var ett väldigt bra val, då uppläsaren var riktigt duktig.

Mars & April wrap up | 2023

 

Läsningen i mars gick verkligen allt annat än bra kvantitetmässigt, kvalitetmässigt så var det väldigt bra! I april fick jag läst många fler böcker, men dem var inte allihop nödvändigtvis superbra.

Den här läsvloggen tog minst sagt lång tid att spela in, men det var det värt! Är alltid lika roligt att utmana mig själv till att läsa mer! Extra roligt blir det med olika typer av prompts.

Den här ljudboken var riktigt bra! Det var så roligt att vara tillbaka i den här världen igen, även om vi följer nya karaktärer denna gång. Sanderson är definitivt en mästare på att komma på unika krafter, en cool världsuppbyggnad och sist men inte minst mycket intressanta karaktärer. Boken var i det stora hela mycket spännande och händelsefull. Jag ser fram emot att få lyssna på fler böcker i den här serien.

Vi har nog alla ett antal böcker som vi har börjat läsa, men som vi av olika anledningar sedan aldrig fortsatte med. Ibland har det att göra med try a chapter tag, ibland är det en omläsning som man börjat med som ger en dåligt samvete. TBR-listan blir ju inte kortare av att man hela tiden läser om böcker.

Mina åsikter

Den här boken är minst sagt ond och brutal och det kändes som att det tog en halv evighet att läsa den. Jag fastnade aldrig för karaktärerna vilket gjorde det svårt att behålla intresset. Jag måste ändå ge författaren en eloge för världsuppbyggnaden och att det händer en hel del under bokens gång. Men jag tappade ändå intresset halvvägs igenom.

Jag är inte säker på om jag verkligen gillar huvudkaraktären Rin eller inte, men det spelar ingen roll! Den här boken innehåller minst sagt mycket ond bråd död. Magisystemet och all mytologi är riktigt coola. Den här boken var minst sagt snabbläst och händelsefull. Boken fick mig gå igenom en väldans många olika känslor! Jag längtar verkligen efter att läsa bok 3 i serien!
