Mina åsikter Boken är uppbyggd utav underhållande och snabblästa berättelser som allihop är mycket välskrivna, vilket inte direkt är förvånande då det är Rick Riordan som skrivit dem. Jag finner det dock inte speciellt nödvändigt att läsa den här boken då den egentligen inte tillför speciellt mycket till serien. Den här boken är mer till för den som vill läsa mer om sina favoritkaraktärer och vill följa med på nya äventyr med dem, dvs en bok för dem som inte kan få nog. Jag tyckte i varje fall att det var riktigt roligt att återse karaktärerna igen och de är precis som vanligt riktigt roliga.
Jag påbörjade den här boken för jättelänge sedan och kom väl sisådär 12 sidor in i den innan jag lade undan den för att fortsätta läsa en annan bok som jag redan hade påbörjat. Efter det så har det bara inte blivit av att fortsätta läsa den och nu kommer jag naturligtvis att börja från början. Men jag ser verkligen fram emot att läsa om alla jättar som tydligen skall finnas med!

Goodreads beskrivning Matilda is a little girl
who is far too good to be true. At age five-and-a-half she's knocking
off double-digit multiplication problems and blitz-reading Dickens. Even
more remarkably, her classmates love her even though she's a super-nerd
and the teacher's pet. But everything is not perfect in Matilda's
world. For starters she has two of the most idiotic, self-centered
parents who ever lived. Then there's the large, busty nightmare of a
school principal, Miss ("The") Trunchbull, a former hammer-throwing
champion who flings children at will and is approximately as sympathetic
as a bulldozer. Fortunately for Matilda, she has the inner resources to
deal with such annoyances: astonishing intelligence, saintly patience,
and an innate predilection for revenge.
She warms up with some
practical jokes aimed at her hapless parents, but the true test comes
when she rallies in defense of her teacher, the sweet Miss Honey,
against the diabolical Trunchbull. There is never any doubt that Matilda
will carry the day. Even so, this wonderful story is far from
predictable. Roald Dahl, while keeping the plot moving imaginatively,
also has an unerring ear for emotional truth. The reader cares about
Matilda because in addition to all her other gifts, she has real
feelings.
Mina åsikter Jag älskade verkligen bokens koncept med en flicka som i princip vet allt och det faktum att hon var en boknörd naturligtvis. Matilda fick mig därtill även stundtals att fnissa till och ibland även att skratta rätt ut när hon väl drog igång med sina hyss som var oerhört underhållande. Karaktärerna var helt underbara, både dem man var menad att gilla samt dem man var menad att ogilla, men Matilda var naturligtvis stjärnan. Jag älskar Quentin Blakes illustrationer som verkligen fångar det Roald Dahl beskriver otroligt bra! Och jag jag gillar verkligen Roald Dals sätt att skriva då det är så medryckande, men samtidigt underhållande och metodiskt skrivet. Det här är definitivt en bok som är värd att läsa!
