Mina åsikter
Jag gillade konceptet att det är gudarna Aphrodite och Ares som berättar hela bokens handling. Jag gillade verkligen huvudkaraktärerna James och Hazel, dem var så söta och oskyldiga tillsammans. Vi får också lära känna Aubrey och Colette som får utstå mycket svårigheter med sin relation då de konstant blir utsatta för rasism då den ena är vit och den andre svart. Detta då boken utspelar sig under första världskriget. Därtill gillade jag verkligen sättet som Berry skriver och för sin handling framåt. Det är anledningen till att jag var fast i berättelsen redan från första sidan. I det stora hela så var den här boken mycket spännande och händelsefull. Efter att ha läst den här boken så vill jag väldigt gärna kolla upp fler historisk fiction- böcker från Berry.
